DMK: Danné Montague-King

Updated: Jan 24, 2023

In 2017, I was approached by my former esthetics instructors to compete in a competition known as the Skin Games. I had never heard of this event, naturally, I immediately took to the internet for some insight - what I found was something that would change my view on skincare.

The Skin Games was a place where estheticians competed in categories like acne or age management. What caught my eye was a practitioner in Perth, Australia named Carmen who was just killing the competition year after year. What stood out the most, aside from the amazing results she was able to obtain in just a matter of weeks, was the treatments themselves.

What is that mask she is putting on her client? DMK Enzyme Therapy was the ace in her toolbox. It was a mask that was so different and not something you associate with a typical facial. It was dry, crackly and completely scary - I was hooked! I never entered the Skin Games but Carmen and the DMK Enzyme had a long-lasting impression on me. (Fun fact: I actually met Carmen, aka the Skin Fairy, in 2019 and received a treatment myself - awesome!)

Fast forward to 2018 and Marconi Castle Skincare opened up with DMK as the sole skincare line, putting the studio on the map.

In the 1970s, Danné Montague-King began his breakthrough discoveries of Enzyme therapy, Vitamin C therapy and Trans-epidermal delivery crèmes.

Enzymes usually associated with skincare are typically protein eating and act like Pac Man to eat away at cuticle build-up, King's enzyme cocktail does more than just that. DMK is the only company in the world to utilize the beneficial effects of transfer-messenger enzymes - working with the skin rather than just on it.

Enzymes are living substances that regulate health and work with minerals in the body to form a natural system of antioxidants that fight corrosive free radicals.

This is a treatment for everyone and paired with their innovative home prescriptives, no skin condition stands a chance.

I have many favorites when it comes to home products including Beta Gel and the Foamy Lift. These products, like the treatments, really support the skin and ensure optimal skin functioning.

You can try the DMK Enzyme Therapy Treatment at the studio and shop DMK Home Prescriptives in-studio or on our website.
