Everyone loves a good mask - but what do you do while you wait those 10-20 minutes before cleaning it off? My answer to this is to fill the time (and my belly) with a smoothie.
I've always loved making smoothies whether for a meal replacement or just as a snack to hold me over. These are a great compliment perfect opportunity to take my DMK efa+ supplements.
A few weeks ago, I began a keto diet and have been enjoying an Avocado Smoothie so I just had to include it. It’s no secret that avocados are a key ingredient in making healthy dishes. The fat-filled ingredient offers nearly 20 vitamins and minerals. Since avocados are high in fat, it’s best to eat the fruit in the morning so your body can burn the calories throughout the day.
This treat is my current go-to smoothie and takes no more than 1-2 minutes to make.
Avocado Smoothie
1 organic avocado, pitted and peeled
1 cup almond milk
1 scoop of vanilla bone broth protein powder
2 drops of Stevia
Combine all ingredients in a blender. Blend until smooth.
This next one isn't too keto-friendly but it is my healthy sweet tooth indulgence. This Berry Banana Smoothie is one I have turned to for breakfast as well. Full of antioxidants and superfoods, this medley checks all the boxes.
Berry Banana Smoothie
1 organic banana, peeled and sliced
1 cup almond milk
1/2 cup of berries (I like frozen blueberries and strawberries)
1 tsp chia seeds
2 tsp goji berries
1/2 tsp spirulina
Combine all ingredients in a blender. Blend until smooth.
If I'm feeling a bit lazy but want something even quicker than the recipes before, I'll reach for my Banana Matcha Smoothie. Over ice, it's sweet, creamy and hits the right spot.
Banana Matcha Smoothie
1 organic banana, peeled and sliced
1 cup almond milk
2 tsp matcha powder
Combine all ingredients in a blender. Blend until smooth.
